Hello! My name is Khalil Homsi, and I am an international educator with over ten years of teaching experience in the United States and Japan. Throughout my career, I have taught Mathematics, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Humanities while working with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. I have served as a middle school mathematics teacher, IB PYP Coordinator, and Teaching and Learning Coordinator, giving me the opportunity to develop engaging curricula, mentor teachers, and support student achievement. My experience has taught me that every student learns differently, and I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement, and resources, every learner can succeed. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence through clear instruction, interactive lessons, and real-world applications. To support student learning, I create differentiated worksheets with easy, moderate, and challenging levels, simple step-by-step instructional videos, and unit vocabulary guides that help students strengthen both their understanding and academic language. Whether I'm teaching mathematics, helping students develop English proficiency, or encouraging critical thinking through the humanities, my goal is always the same—to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. I look forward to helping students grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and achieve their academic goals.
