Ed-Cademy Educator Policy

Ed-Cademy ensures that all educators operate within a structured framework designed to protect learners, uphold academic standards, and maintain ethical business practices.
All educators must agree to the following policies before uploading content or offering tutoring services on the platform.


1. Verification and Credentialing

Educators must submit proof of teaching credentials, certifications, degrees, or verifiable tutoring experience during registration.

Approved accounts will receive one of the following verification marks:

  • Credential Verified — Licensed teachers or educators with formal qualifications

  • Tutor Verified — Tutors with verified academic background or experience

Ed-Cademy reserves the right to request additional documentation at any time.


2. Content Standards

All uploaded materials must be educational in nature and appropriate for academic use.

Allowed content includes:

  • Lessons

  • Worksheets

  • Courses

  • Videos

  • Assessments

  • Study materials

The following are prohibited:

  • Non-educational content

  • Copyright violations

  • Offensive or inappropriate material

  • Misleading academic claims

All content is subject to random review for quality and compliance.

Ed-Cademy reserves the right to remove any material that does not meet platform standards.


3. Intellectual Property

All materials uploaded must be:

  • Original work created by the educator, OR

  • Properly licensed for use and resale

AI tools may be used to assist with lesson planning, but the educator must provide meaningful input and review all content before publishing.

The educator remains legally responsible for all uploaded materials.


4. Watermarking and Content Identification

All materials uploaded to Ed-Cademy will be automatically watermarked.

Watermarks may include:

  • Ed-Cademy branding

  • Educator name (optional)

  • Unique product identification number

This system is used to prevent unauthorized distribution and protect intellectual property.

Ed-Cademy reserves the right to watermark all content for security purposes.


5. Session Delivery and Recording Policy

All tutoring sessions must be conducted using the official Ed-Cademy platform.

Rules:

  • Off-platform teaching is prohibited

  • All sessions are automatically recorded

  • Recordings are available to participants for up to one month

  • Recordings may be stored indefinitely for training, dispute resolution, and compliance

By using the platform, educators consent to session recording.


6. Third-Party Restriction

Educators may not:

  • Outsource teaching to unverified individuals

  • Allow others to use their account

  • Redirect students to external payment methods

  • Move learners off the platform without permission

Violations may result in immediate suspension.


7. Payments, Commission, and Payout Schedule

Ed-Cademy pays educators on a semi-monthly schedule.

Payment dates:

  • 1st of each month

  • 15th of each month

If the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, payment will be processed on the next business day.


Holding Period

All sales are subject to a 7-day holding period to protect against refunds, disputes, and fraud.

Funds become eligible for payout only after the holding period has passed.

Ed-Cademy reserves the right to extend the holding period if necessary.


Commission Structure

Plan Educator Share
Basic Plan 70%

Commission is calculated after:

  • Payment processing fees

  • Refunds

  • Discounts

  • Platform adjustments


Founding Teacher Lifetime Bonus

To recognize early supporters, the first 50 approved educators on the platform will receive a free +10% lifetime commission bonus.

Example:

Plan Standard Founding Teacher
Basic 75% 85%

Conditions:

  • Must be among the first 50 approved educators

  • Must submit valid credentials

  • Must remain in good standing

  • Bonus is non-transferable

  • Bonus may be revoked for policy violations

This bonus will remain active for the lifetime of the educator account.


Minimum Payout

Minimum payout amount: $25 USD

Balances below the minimum will roll over to the next payment cycle.


Payment Methods

Payments may be issued through:

  • Stripe

  • PayPal

  • Bank transfer (when available)

Educators are responsible for:

  • Correct payment information

  • Taxes

  • Bank or transfer fees

Ed-Cademy is not responsible for delays caused by payment providers.


Refunds and Chargebacks

If a refund or dispute occurs:

  • The amount will be deducted from the educator balance

  • If already paid, the amount may be deducted from future earnings

Repeated disputes may result in account review.


8. Review and Moderation

All content and educator activity are subject to moderation.

Ed-Cademy may:

  • Remove content

  • Suspend accounts

  • Terminate accounts

  • Restrict payouts

if policies are violated.


9. Code of Conduct

Educators must act professionally at all times.

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Harassment

  • Dishonesty

  • Misrepresentation

  • Academic fraud

  • Abuse of learners

  • Attempting to bypass platform rules

Violations may result in immediate termination.


10. Age Requirement

Only individuals who are 18 years of age or older may register as educators on Ed-Cademy.

Accounts found to violate this rule will be removed.


11. Policy Updates

Ed-Cademy reserves the right to update policies as the platform grows.

However:

  • Payments already earned will not be affected

  • Founding teacher bonuses will not be reduced once granted

Continued use of the platform means acceptance of updated policies.
